Our Story

Welcome to Roll with Me! Discover the journey behind our passion for accessibility and inclusion. Learn how we're making a difference in Nova Scotia and beyond.

The Spark of Roll with Me

Roll with Me was born from a personal journey. In 2014, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. As I lost mobility, first using a walker and then a wheelchair, I experienced firsthand the challenges of accessibility. My world became smaller, and I felt invisible. But I'm still the same person, with the same love for life, family, friends, and fun. This realization fueled my desire to create spaces where everyone is seen, heard, and welcome.

Our Vision

Our hope is to show that people with disabilities still want to participate fully in life – to shop, enjoy coffee with friends, go to the movies, and visit parks. A disability itself is not a negative; the lack of accessibility is. Roll with Me strives to create a world where everyone can participate without barriers, fostering a more inclusive and vibrant Nova Scotia and beyond.

Living the Experience

I have walked, and now I roll. My disability does not limit me; a lack of accessibility does. With the right support, I can do anything. I drive with hand controls, run my own business, started a non-profit, travel, surf, and even repelled down the tallest office building in Halifax in my wheelchair! I volunteer on several committees and absolutely love my life. This lived experience gives Roll with Me a unique perspective and a powerful drive to create change.

"Roll with Me embodies compassion, responsibility, and creativity, making accessibility not just a requirement, but an inclusive experience."
